The History of ActiveTM Sales Management

10 years ago... our founder, Jeff Ruby, was conducting ongoing reinforcement sales training for an international software manufacturer.  For Paul, the President, the "impossible" was being accomplished because after only six months...

  • Sales people were embracing what they were learning.

  • The company sales process had been transformed into a system.

  • Half the number of demonstrations was turning into twice as many deals.

  • Sales people were focused on goals they set for themselves, and tracking results.

However, Paul realized that if this were to continue, the sales people would need an active manager.  One that would breed respect through effective mentoring and coaching, and be an advocate for the training they had embraced.  In addition, Paul needed a process for hiring more sales people and a process for on-boarding.  He had one seemingly simple question:  “Could Jeff’s company provide this service?”

Jeff and Paul sketched out an action plan and ActiveTM Sales Management came in to existence.  The relationship, between Jeff and Paul’s companies continue to thrive today.
